Republic FC is coming off a 2-0 home loss to LA Galaxy II this past Sunday at Heart Health Park. Despite the setback, however, the Indomitable Club still sits a point out of the fourth in the Pacific Division, one of four clubs separated by a point. Saturday will be Republic FC’s second of three games in nine days.

SRFC logged 18 shots against Los Dos on Sunday and have now recorded 10+ shots in eight of their last nine contests. Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu made his first start since the club’s last meeting with Galaxy II on September 1, completing 86% of his passes and winning 83% of his defensive duels on Sunday.

This season has seen 105 selections for SRFC Academy players, including at least one selection in every match and 34 starts. Mario Penagos leads all Academy players in both categories with 19 appearances and 10 starts.

Tacoma was minutes from snapping the streak last week at Phoenix Rising FC. After falling behind in the 78th minute, Samuel Adeniran leveled two minutes later before Rising FC stole the thunder with a heartbreaking game winner in the 90th minute.
